False theology is Satan’s most effective weapon in his war against Jacob’s children. He knows that if you are looking for the wrong thing, you will find what you are looking for.
This short book examines the writings found in the Qumran caves that prove the above statements. To accomplish this, we will look at several unique scrolls found at Qumran; then, we compare the key facts from each of these scrolls to known historical events and people of the time period. We will start our study by first examining the fascinating historical record of three Levite brothers who each served as high priest spanning the time period 198 BC to 161 BC. The power struggles these men had with their Greek rulers and between themselves is critical to our understanding of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their impact on Jewish history. It was during these men’s reigns that false doctrine was composed and introduced into the Hebrew canon, which started a chain of events that brought about the destruction of ancient Israel.
Our study will seek to understand what role the false doctrine seen in several key Dead Sea Scrolls had during the Maccabean Revolt and, later on, in Israel’s uprising against the Romans in 70 AD and 132 AD. We will also compare the theological beliefs presented in these scrolls with Jewish and Christian doctrine that survived the Roman destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. This comparison will clearly show the Dead Sea Scrolls contained long-lost theological beliefs that the mainstream Jewish leaders of Yeshua’s day were following. Surprisingly, we will also discover how these beliefs help validate some of the Christian New Testament writings.
After the theological comparisons, there is a detailed examination of the prophecies in Hebrew scriptures dealing with the coming Messiah of Israel. The summary of this information and why these prophecies were overlooked by first century Pharisees and Sadducees is very surprising. The writings found in the caves of Qumran reveal how false theology blinded the children and destroyed the nation. Importantly, we will discover how G-d purged the Hebrew canon of these false doctrines just before the destruction of Jerusalem.
Finally, our study ends with an examination of how Satan uses the same trick of false theology to pollute Christian beliefs in an ongoing effort to blind and destroy Jacob’s children. This comparison will be uncomfortable for many, but uplifting to those who have long anguished over the bitterness of the sad history of relations between Jews and Christians. It is my hope and prayer that you take time to read this short book and that it brings you peace of mind and soul.
